“Interestingly, our Galena Beads beginnings are
deep rooted in our families.”
What started out as spending special mother /
daughter time together turned into a business
and has also grown many heart-felt friendships.
Co-owners and self-proclaimed Bead Divas Trish
and Jess Italia-Lincoln are a mother and daughter team.
Trish’s daughter, Megan and Trish’s two
granddaughters are featured artists at Galena
Beads.
Co-owner and Bead Diva Jan teams with her
daughter Chelsea, who is also a featured artist
at the store. Jan’s two other children are
artists in various media. Many of the other
Galena Bead artists also share family ties.
Together, through the years, the Bead Divas have
enjoyed playing with color, texture, and
technique, honestly and openly critiquing each
other’s work and teaching each other new
methods. “Working” while having fun, beading has
bonded their relationships.
What may appear to
be a fun pastime continues to bring these
families together—as well as adding new friends
along the way. |
